… just another installment in my muddy adventure blog from August 14, 2021
Today it was *hot* … it was a great day to be immersed in cool mud. The tide was still going out when I arrived and it stayed low long enough for me to get immersed in one of my favorite spots. When I arrived at the spot where I leave my kayak to hike to the mud hole, I realized I hadn’t been there in a while and the swamp grass had overgrown my paths. I had to spend some time cutting back the grass so I wouldn’t get cut up too badly. The hand I use to hold my machete got lacerated in multiple places. The blood was dripping from my thumb for several minutes after I finished. I should probably go back out there at least once more before the grass grows back, to make it worth the blood loss.
Once I got set up to record my messy adventure, I dove right into the muck, head first. I did two more dives before I returned to more conventional activities. The diving/muddy legs video has been added to my clip store, because it’s just a short video and I edited it when I got back from my trip. You can also view the short behind-the-scenes slash teaser/preview clip, below.
After I got out of the mud, I took my time getting cleaned up and enjoyed some time in the creek. It’s always nice to lounge in the water when the weather is hot.
