That clay I’ve got in the back yard is something else. It’s as fine as silk and as slippery as grease. It gets into everything, and it doesn’t rinse off easily. It was warm and humid today, so I skipped out of work an hour early and went for a roll in the clay. Did I mention that the clay is also thick? It’s crazy thick. Once you’re mired into it, you can hardly move. I like it. I just wish the pit was deeper, but I have a plan to rectify that.
The video turned out pretty well … more on that later.
How deep do you think you’ll make your clay pit and where do you get clay in that quantity? If you make it deep enough to sink under, you definitely need to make sure that there is great sucking sounds in that clay! Also, a tug-o-war vid would also be great with that kind of a deep pit between you and another guy…
I got the clay directly from the manufacturer. We drove 600 miles to pick up 3000 pounds of dry powder in 50lb bags (the actual weight ended up being 3100 pounds). Once I get the clay pit reconfigured, I figure the clay will be 3-5 feet deep. I depends on how small I make the pit, but I’d like to keep it large enough for a couple of people to stretch out; maybe 6×8 feet (2×3 meters).
