Extended Mud Play

2013-05-16_s4_f1May 16 was a crazy day. After I had breakfast and watered the garden, I bicycled to where I launch my kayak to check the tide level. I found the tide to be pretty low, and it was still 45 minutes before low tide (according to the tide chart). I then bicycled to the store to score some high fructose corn syrup. Well, I didn’t go for an overdose of process sugar, but the trip was for naught, anyway. I rode home, and I packed my gear to go swamping. I packed the 34 pound lead weight, and my breathing tube.

2013-05-16_s3_f1I got to the swamp at 09:20; just before low tide. The tide level was looking promising, so I set my sights on my deepest mud spot, which is only available when the tide is quite low. That spot is great for weighted sinks, because the mud is deep and sloppy. The weight can only pull me under if it’s not suspended in thick mud, itself.

I arrived at the entrance to my chosen mud hole after the tide had reached an inconveniently low level. Low water is great for exposing lots of excellent mud, but I still need some water on which to navigate my boat. The water was so shallow in the narrow channel that I decided to walk through the swamp grass the last 10 yards.

2013-05-16_diving-f2Well, let me tell you about walking on soft ground, carrying camera gear in one hand and a heavy lead weight in the other! I was sinking everywhere. It was a workout, just getting to my sinking spot. Once I arrived, I set up the camera, tied the lead weight to my genitals, and proceeded to sink over my head, with a lead weight dragging me down. I got out, and I proceeded to do it, again.

After a couple of sinks in the main pit, I moved over to the smaller pit next to it and did yet another weighted sink with my feet up on the bank. That one took a little longer, and it was pretty intense. The first two were good, also, but it was easier to slip below the surface in the large pit.

2013-05-16_s3_f2I did yet another sink with my ankles tied to my genitals and no weight. That was good, although I was getting pretty cold, by this time. I then did a final video clip of me, diving into the main pit, head first, climbing out, jumping back in, and doing a full somersault. I also made a couple attempts at finding the bottom, but I could not go deep enough to find a bottom; even though I could descend well below the surface.

I shot several clips while I was playing. I mudded for a long time, and I think I burned 3000 calories. Later that night, I finished digging an extension on my pond. The first clip that will be released from May 16 is the diving one. That one was short and easy. It’s a good clip. It will be available in my clip store before Wednesday, this week.

I love that deep, sloppy mud hole. It doesn’t hold like thicker mud, but you can do some crazy stuff, and it swallows you right up, which makes it feel more dangerous and exciting.

Claypit Follies

hangingOn Sunday, after submitting to being hogtied for International Rope Day, I got up the nerve to do a head-first drop into the clay pit. I was a little apprehensive, since I had considered several scenarios of how the drop might play out. If the clay was too thick, I might hurt my neck. If it was thin enough to let me go fairly deep, I might have trouble pulling my head back to the surface, since the clay is like glue.

JMO_0385As it turned out, the clay was really thick and I did have a sore neck afterward, but nothing serious. I barely sank past my shoulders when I hit the clay. I had 2 video cameras recording the event, although it was somewhat anticlimactic. I’m not quite sure what to do with the video. I don’t feel like it is worthy of selling, but it’s too long to host here. I think I’ll upload it to deepsinkingguys and create a really short version for my blog.

I still have some other things to try in the clay pit. At least I don’t have to wait for a low tide to take advantage of the clay pit. Hang in there, everyone!

Swamping, again

DJT_9491-f1Trips into the swamp have been few and far between, this spring. The weather has been highly uncooperative, to say the least. Well, today we had sun, and an afternoon low tide. That’s always a good combination. I headed out early, to be sure to catch whatever low tide I got, given that the strong winds are making the tides highly unpredictable, and today was no exception.

Since I got on the water early, and the tide level wasn’t very promising, I paddled to the furthest sinking spot, checking the other spots, as I passed them. When I arrived at the furthest spot (about 2.5 miles), I hung out there long enough to verify that the tide was still going out.

DJT_9493-f1I left that spot and paddled back the way I had come, checking on other spots as I passed them. The tide level dropped about 4 inches from when I started out, until I returned to about 1/2 mile from my put-in. For most of my spots, the tide would have had to drop another 4 inches. It was now about one hour after low tide, so there wasn’t any chance of another 4 inch drop, so I headed to my sinking hole in the woods, because that one has a slightly higher elevation.

DJT_9494-f1I landed my boat on the edge of the woods, off-loaded some gear and headed into the woods. When I got close to my sinking hole, I climbed a big tree to see how much water was there. I can’t just walk up to it, because the ground around it is soft and you sink up to your thighs in some places. I wasn’t satisfied with the view from the tree, so I swung down onto a high spot close to the hole. I then leaned out towards the hole, using a mostly horizontal tree to lean on, and focusing my attention on the depth of the water over my sinking spot. I should probably have looked more closely at the tree I chose to lean on, because as I pulled back, I got bitten on the right thumb by a water moccasin (snake) that had been right under my nose. The old saying, “if it had been a snake it would have bitten you”, turns out to be true. Well, don’t get all worried, the bite was a defensive bite. The snake knew it wasn’t going to eat me, so it didn’t inject any venom. I employed my snakebite kit, just in case, but I could tell by the lack of pain, that the bite was nothing more than a pin-prick.

DJT_9494-f2So, after nursing my wound for longer than it warranted, I got back to the business of setting up to shoot video. I decided to set up a few shots of me, slogging through the swamp and complaining about mud and snakes. Eventually, as you might have come to expect by now, I made my way, by sheer accident, into a really deep spot, from which I would never emerge. I managed to do a slow, steady sink into the thick peat mud. I haven’t watched the video yet (the images here are video frames I just selected quickly from the raw clips), but I think it’s going to be a pretty good quicksand video, that results in my untimely death … again.

The Crossing

swamp mud in jean cutoffsOn April 10, I ventured out for a deep mud adventure. I shot a lot of video, although it didn’t all come out as well as I wanted. A lot of it was overexposed, and my ground camera wasn’t aimed very well.

However, the tide was super low and I was able to play in some very deep, thick mud, until the sun was threatening to set, at which time I had to skedaddle. It was sad to leave such a great spot while the tide was still low. I had to get back before dark, though. In April, it starts getting pretty cold as the sun sets, and I didn’t pack any warm dry clothes.

I started out shooting the crossing video, with me in really short jean cut-offs. After I was done shooting that video, I cleaned up a bit and changed into latex briefs for some erotic play. With the help of my breathing hose, I went as deep as I could, head first. The pressure on my cheeks gets to the point where I have trouble drawing air through the hose and pushing it out my nostrils, which are also pressed shut by the pressure.

The mud was still pretty cold on top, but it was a great trip. I haven’t been able to go mudding, since that day. The weather has been somewhat sporadic, and so has my work and activity schedule. I’m pretty sure May and June will be very active months for mudding; unless it rains for 40 days and 40 nights … again.

Claypit Bondage (video)

2013-04-08_claypit_bondage_f1The weather is warming up, fast! I spent some time landscaping around the new clay pit on Monday, after which I decided to have some bondage fun in the pit. I set up one camera to capture the action.

Although the weather was mild, there was a cool breeze, and the clay was ice cold! I may have to do something to warm up that clay!2013-04-08_claypit_bondage_f4

So, the image at the left pretty well depicts the scene. I went through a few variations on the bondage. The image on the left is the final predicament. I am partially suspended by my genitals and my ankles. My balls are rubbing against the pole. My hands can’t reach the bottom, so I’m sinking slowly into the thick clay, as I thrust my hips and struggle against the erotic sensations created by the tugging on my genitals. The entire ordeal lasted over 40 minutes, and I had a narrow escape. The knots got pretty tight, and my fingers were slippery and cold. It was pretty intense. I’m pretty sure I’ll do it again! <wink>

April 6, Excursion

It was a little bit chilly, thanks to a brisk wind. It was also a bit windy, for the same reason …

(video removed, due to age and large file size … I was wearing blue, latex briefs and an orange kayak shirt, and video was mostly closeups as I slogged through algae covered swamp mud)

… but the sun was shining so I ventured out to get muddy. I wasn’t sure just how muddy I was willing to get; that would depend on the temperature of the mud and the water.
When I first stepped into the mud, I was pretty sure I wouldn’t sink past my thighs. It didn’t take me long to get used to it and want to go a little deeper.
I built a rig for my video camera that allows me to handle the camera (move it around) with muddy hands, and also to just set the camera on the mud, for a close up, ground level view of the action. The video that is embedded here has some highlights from the action.

Uncovering the new pit

Yesterday, I went out to uncover the new clay pit for the first time, and sink slowly into it’s gooey depths. I never fail to underestimate just how cold the mud can get!

Above, you see highlights from the video (I hope you see it, anyway) I recorded. The opening shot is just my legs, as I slip and slide in the old clay pit, which has been reduced to a watery hole with just enough clay to make the bottom pretty slippery. In the next scene, you see me pulling the tarp from over the new pit, and removing the struts that supported the tarp. I left the large pole over the pit, so I’d have an easy exit, I stripped off my shirt and hat, and I stepped into the cold clay. When you see me, up to my navel in the clay, I’m more or less standing on the bottom. The clay is so thick and heavy, that it took a while to find the bottom. Finally, I climb out, rinse off in the old clay pit, and take a quick, and very cold, shower.

The new clay pit is more or less finished. I’ll give it some final landscaping, once I get the old pit cleaned up. There is an anchor ring at the bottom of the new pit, for bondage purposes, and I’m going to move my suspension tripod over the pit, also. I sure hope to have some messy bondage adventures in the new pit, as the weather gets warmer.

I also expect to be venturing out into the swamp, again, soon. Stay tuned for more updates. We’re off to a slow start, but the best mudding weather is right around the corner!

New Clay Pit

DJT_9136Mar 22 update: I moved at least two thirds of the clay to the new pit, yesterday. The weather is expected to be cold and rainy for another week or so, so that may be as far as I get, for a while.

Recently, I decided it was about time I put all that clay to good use, so I set about making a new pit for the clay that is more like the old mud pit; small and deep. As you can see in the photo, I lined the pit, to keep the clay from drying out, or leaching away. I’m kind of excited to find out what it’s like to sink deep into that thick, kaolin clay.

The new pit is about 4 ft deep and 7 ft across at the mouth. If my calculations are correct, I’ll be able to just about fill it with the clay I have. Moving the clay from the old pit to the new one is going to be one hell of a job, but I’m going to get it there, somehow.

Once the new pit is finished, you can bet I’ll be taking it for a test run, and I’ll be sure to share the video with you, here. Keep an eye out for updates. Speaking of video, I still have an unreleased video from last year. I was so busy over the winter, I had no desire to sit at the computer and edit video in my precious free time. Now that the weather is warming up, I’m watching the tide charts and trying to coordinate a trip into the swamp. Of course, this clay relocation project is going to keep me pretty busy for the better part of a week.

New Mud Clip From 2012

mud pit bondageI have been ridiculously busy, and it’s been a little cold for mudding. However, I still have some unedited video from the 2012 mudding season. I am trialing Apple’s new FCP X editing software, so I thought I’d give it a test by editing one of the unreleased videos.

So, I put together a new clip from some video I shot in late June, of me, bound and struggling in the mud pit. I added the clip to my store, if anyone would like to purchase it, for a closer look. It’s a pretty good clip, considering the mud is shallow. Those of you who like muddy bodies will probably like it. It must have been a pretty warm day, because the bulge in my latex briefs is pretty obvious. 🙂

I’m warming up to FCP X, as I get more accustomed to the interface. There are things I liked better in the old version, but this new version does have some things to love. I hope you people in the southern hemisphere are enjoying your mudding season. I’m looking forward to getting an early start on mudding this year. The weather has been pretty mild, so far.

Clip Announcement (Swamping, 09/28)

Swamping, 2012-09-28 promo imageI cut together a travelogue from my most recent trip into the swamp. I think “travelogue” is the best word for it, since the video essentially follows me from my initial slogging, through a “death by quicksand” scene, some light bondage with some inversion, and a slow sink in some really thick mud that ends when I’m up to my neck.

I think the quicksand scene is pretty convincing. It may be one of my better ones. Most of the scenes are pretty good. I had enough video that I could edit out all of the boring stuff. The only scene that moves kind of slowly is the thick mud sink at the end, but that’s just the way it goes in thick mud.

The video is now available in my male Clips4Sale store. I think most people will like it. It sort of runs the gamut from muddy feet to sucking quicksand.

Swamping 2012-09-28

Blue latex briefs in the swampI haven’t had many opportunities to go to the swamp in the past month. As the full moon approached, I was trying to free up some time so I could take advantage of a late afternoon low tide. Friday was my last chance, and I ended up arriving at the water late, with only my JVC camcorder and a small tripod.

When I arrived at the mud, I lost my balance while getting undressed on top of my kayak, and I fell into the muddy water with my shirt and jean shorts still on. I’m sure that would have made a good clip, but nobody was there to capture it on video. Sorry about that.

Blue latex briefs, muddy in the swampI wasn’t sure what to expect from the tide. The last time I ventured out, the tide didn’t get low enough to play anywhere except in the woods. The tide was lower on Friday, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it was still going out, when I arrived at my mudding spot. I had nearly 2 hours to horse around, and the weather was near perfect. I didn’t have much in the way of camera gear, but I recorded everything I could.

While the tide was going out, I explored a little, and set up a half dozen different shots with the camera. Once the tide was at it’s lowest point, and it got pretty low, I went to my really deep mud hole and got completely immersed. I did a little bit of bondage, but mostly, I relished the opportunity to get into some “dangerous” quickmud.

It was a good trip. I survived it with nary a scratch. I got a pretty good sampling of video, although the poor camera got doused in mud a couple of times. I expect to be releasing some new video, in the not too distant future. I’ve been way too busy to do much editing. I hope everyone had a great summer. If it wasn’t great, I hope your future summers improve. For those of you in the southern hemisphere, your summer is just around the corner. I hope it’s as muddy as mine was.

New movie clip

Sink Hole, swamp teaser/promo imageI just released another clip from the August 16 adventure. It is a very short clip that was shot at the end of the trip. On the clip, I plop backwards into the mud, leaving my legs in view, and I push back so my head goes under and the thick mud slowly closes over my face. I use a breathing tube to get mostly inverted, then I pull my legs under so I can right myself and reemerge from the mud.

I’ve been pretty busy, lately. I’ve had lots of office work, I’ve been working on other peoples’ movies, and my grass is growing so fast, I have to mow all the time! The weather hasn’t been very good for mudding. We’ve had a lot of rain. I am, however, planning some special mud shoots for the new moon this weekend. The rest of the year is looking pretty hectic, so clip releases may be a little slow. On the other hand, I do still have a few movies in the queue, so there will be updates; even if they don’t come out until the end of the sinking season.

Blue latex briefs

I have been busy all week, and Friday (August 31) was my last chance to go mudding before the low tide moved too close to sunset. I’ve been dying to get back into the mud, so when I arrived at the water and the tide looked like it wasn’t going to get very low, I headed for the woods. The woods spot is where I’ve done most of my recent mud bondage clips. The elevation is high enough that the mud is only underwater when the tide level if fairly high. However, it drains better when the tide is lower. In any case, I had no intention of going home without getting muddy. Low tide was supposed to be around 5pm, and the sun sets this time of year around 7:30pm.  I had just enough time to haul my gear to the mud hole and do some bondage in the mud, complete with my lead weight and breathing tube. Since the mud had some water around it, I didn’t waste too much time with the camera. I recorded the action on the JVC, but I didn’t bother to set up the external audio recorder and shotgun microphone.

The sun was setting and the tide was rising fast, before I was ready to clean up. I reluctantly packed up my gear and made my way back to the kayak. I rinsed off the mud and headed for a shallow sandy area in the creek where I could finish cleaning up without risking an encounter with an alligator. Dusk is not a good time to be swimming in alligator infested waters. I will leave you with a couple frames from the video, showing my new, blue, latex briefs. They are sort of before and after frames!

Quicksand movie!

The Quicksand! movie, shot on August 16 (see my previous blog entry) is now available in my male mud bondage Clips4Sale store. The promo image on the left pretty much says it all. This movie opens with a splash, and I’m immediately up to my neck in mud. From there, it’s pretty much a losing battle against the deadly, sucking mud that lasts for about 5 minutes. The movie ends shortly after I slip below the surface. I used my heavy lead weight to make the struggle much more genuine.

This movie should appeal to the quicksand fans. It is short, to the point, and inexpensive. I love making this kind of clip. If anyone has any suggestions on how it could be better, please do let me know.

2012-08-02 Mudding clip

Composite for 2012-08-02 swamp mud clipI uploaded the short, and unusually scenic mud clip from my kayaking trip on August 2 when the tide didn’t cooperate so I only had a few minutes to play in the mud. This clip is for people who prefer to see me playing in the mud, without any crazy stunts or bondage. It is a pretty clip and I get muddy up to my neck, but that’s about all I can say about it.

There will be another clip coming soon. The “quicksand” scene I shot on 8/16 will be next, probably followed by a mud-pit bondage video that I shot back in June. I’ve still got a pretty good backlog, and if I go out and shoot something really awesome, it might get bumped to the front of the queue.

It’s been a pretty active mud season, for me. I might have a mud wrestling partner in September (if we don’t get wiped out by a hurricane), so if anyone has any requests for movies that require 2 men, do let me know.
