Mild Weather

Posted by on February 17, 2012

The weather has been really mild, for February. I’ve been watching the tide charts and weather reports, looking for an opportunity to partake in some swamp mud. It seems like it’s been forever, since my last mudding trip. If nothing else, I could use the exercise, and my skin needs softening.

I’ve also got a new girl I’m going to try in the mud, this year. Most of the girls will go into the swamp one time (if they’re brave), and that’s it for them. To be fair, most of the guys I know wouldn’t do it, either. I guess it is an acquired taste. They just don’t know what they’re missing!

Well, that’s all, for now. I hope 2012 is a great year. I figure if we can survive the republican primary, we can survive anything. I hope to be writing about a swamp adventure, in my next update.

    Good Morning;
    Looking forward to the new lady in the mud this year. Been doing some sinking in my backyard pit. My pit is nearly neck deep standing up. Depending on rain it could be just as thick as concrete or soupy. Being close to the house makes it nice to be able to go sinking and do a quick clean up and jump in the spa to warm back up. And like you say, they dont know what they are missing. Guess they never played in the mud when growing up as kids. Anyways looking forward to a good year of mudding. Where do you buy you clay to make your pit, could use some to fill back in as the mud
    needs replacing over time.

      I drove most of the way to Georgia to pick up 3 pallets of clay. I got it directly from the manufacturer as a bulk purchase. I couldn’t find anyone around here who sold it. There was a pottery shop on base that might have sold me (through a military friend) a small quantity, but not as much as I needed.

    That would make that some expensive clay. Think I will pass. Found another sink hole today behind my place in the marsh. Sunk up to my neck in a thick mud and peat mix.
