Everything I’ve been reading is telling me that my tide situation isn’t going to improve for years, if ever. So, I’ve been risking poison ivy to find new places to sink. Yesterday, I was really taking my chances, walking through it barefooted. I hope I don’t regret that decision.
My next trip will probably be to this same area by kayak, so I can avoid some of the weeds and have an easier cleanup.
Hi Doug, still stomping thru the swamps I see. That sorta looks like the type of mud I find around here. Spotted something in your hand. Whats the device, a tracker to keep you in the know on how to get back. I sure could use one, got twisted around a few times. Well stay safe out there in this heat and clear of the poison ivy. Take care and keep up your great work. Your still looking great as always.
If I get out of the salt marsh and above the high tide line, poison ivy is ubiquitous. I was carrying my GPS, because the sun was setting and I did not want to be unable to locate my backpack with all my gear! I also use it to make any interesting spots I may want to return to at a later date.
