I’m just going to post a couple still frames and a short video to keep you up-to-date on the state of the mud pit. We got some rain, so I was out there, stirring the water into the deeper layers of mud that had thickened and dried out over the winter.
I also added some shredded leaves earlier in the year and I’ve been trying to stir those into the overall mix. I’m not sure how that’s going to work out, but I’m hoping they will compost into something like peat mud. I’ll probably need a lot more, and a few years of composting to get it the way I want it.

The mudpit looks incredibility attractive! Wit h the ongoing drought, there were no good rainstorms and, so, no creamy mud pools at my favourite beach down south of here.
It’s always a work in progress. The tides have been way too high, lately. I think it’s a combination of crazy weather and the alignment of the sun and the moon (think lunar eclipse).
Hopefully, I’ll get better tides in the near future. In the mean time, I’m spending some time on the mud pit. I’ll probably do a hog-tie scene in it, sometime soon.
