I had to go back to the swamp today because I thought I left a piece of gear out there on April 4. It turns out that I did not, but the low tide lasted a long time, so I had time to explore some more and shoot some video. The tides are in a low pattern because the winds haven’t switched back to the south since the recent cold front. The wind was cold, but the temperature was very inviting today. As long as I wasn’t standing around with a wet body, I was fine. I’m pretty sure, once the prevailing summer winds take over, I won’t have such great low tides to play in, so I’m trying to enjoy them while I can.
Anyway, I shot a dozen or two clips on my GoPro as I explored, or tried to explore some new places. I didn’t get far because I kept encountering really deep mud that I couldn’t cross with all my gear. I like to leave my gear in my kayak and drag it behind me but the water was too low for that to be a practical option. I ditched the kayak and discovered that I was literally surrounded by bottomless mud. I’m sure you can imagine how that made me feel. <wink>
This free video clip is a really fast edit; by “fast”, I mean that I only include a short portion of each GoPro shot … there is a lot more and some of it is pretty good. Sadly, the GoPro seemed to catch a lens flare in 2 out of 3 shots. I’m not sure how I could get so lucky; I guess the sun was very high in the sky.
p.s. I’d love some feedback on this clip. I don’t usually sell exploring clips, but the full 1080p version would be too large to share here. If anyone really wants to see it, I can make a longer, 1080p version for my clip store.
would really love to see the longer version for sure. I love all your work. You make it interesting and erotic to be in mud trying to get free!
Thanks for letting me know!
I’d also be interested in seeing the longer clip – the different deep, muddy areas you have near you is fascinating (and also something to be jealous of!)
Excellent!
