Midday Swamping

Posted by on July 26, 2020

Today I paddled a few kilometers on the creek to slog around in one of my favorite spots. It was very warm. The mud was very warm. The sun was wicked hot. There were no biting flies. Oh, and the tide got pretty low so I had access to all sorts of mud.

I should add that I’m falling behind on editing and releasing my videos. I didn’t think that could happen, but all of a sudden I’ve been swamped with other priorities. I’m sure I’ll get caught up when the weather changes, again.

    Hello Doug…

The photos got my interest, so I hope you will eventually (when other commitments permit, of course) to some exciting adventure videos. We are having some very typical July weather here…night and morning low clouds and fog with sunny late morings and afternoons…temps in the low to mid-70s. I’m waiting for nighttime temps to go up abou t three degrees before I venture out to the marsh for some mud wallowing. Daytime tides are terrible for mud wallowing at this time of the year…best low tides come in the early morning hours.

Thanks for the comments. I hope you get some excellent conditions for mudding. I got to go back out, today, because we’re not getting any rain and the wind is pretty calm, so the tides are pretty predictable/normal. I’ll probably blog about today’s trip tonight, when I finish work. Needless to say, I now have even more video to edit.
