I set out, today, to shoot a video for Andy (in the U.K.), with a cropped white t-shirt and blue speedos. I went in search of a good spot where I would be abandoned by a renegade group of natives in a a cruel bondage predicament. I wanted to have my hands tied behind my back, but I also wanted to be hanging by my neck with my feet churning up the soft ground, unable to get stable footing. I couldn’t do both, so I opted to hang by my wrists and neck.
When I was about to die from hanging by my neck, the natives came back and retied my wrists behind my back, and left me to sink in the soft ground. I sank up to my nipples. There was no escaping; my bonds were too tight, and the my body just kept sinking deeper into the hungry ground as I struggled to break free.
After I finished shooting that little drama, I packed up and made my way back through the swampy woods. I kicked up a snake, along my path, but he just slithered harmlessly away. Once I got my gear on solid ground, I took just the GoPro and shot a very short video where I jumped off the tree (like in the Tarzan clip, but this time I took the camera with me) into the deep peat mud. I also did a quick immersion and recorded myself, wriggling my body back out of the thick goo. The image on the right is me, stopping to pose on my way out of the peat. In the image on the top left, I’m setting up for the first predicament. So, you have a sort of “before and after” set of images, here. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get that white t-shirt clean, again.
Now I need to edit the dramatic video. These videos take a little more editing than the run-of-the-mill wallowing scene. Hopefully, it will be a fun little drama, when I’m done. I didn’t have any handy natives, so you’ll just have to imagine they left me there to die.
wow can’t wait to see this
sounds really good
