This may be the last new clip for a while. The days are getting short, and I’ve been really busy. I shot this on Oct 30. It features a very long sinking sequence that doesn’t end well for me. I am hopelessly stuck in the quickmud and the tide is coming in. It is just a question of whether the mud will swallow me before the tide drowns me.
This clip opens as my kayak gets beached on the mud. I step off my kayak to push it back into deeper water, but, as soon as I step off, I realize my error. Then I let my kayak drift away, which leaves me in the middle of a treacherous mudflat with no boat, no paddle, wearing only tiny, metallic-blue briefs and a hat.
The mud gets thicker as I sink deeper, so the sink progresses slowly. I edited it down to 31 minutes, but it is still one of my longer clips. There is a little bit of wind noise, but it’s not bad. The video quality is above average, with bright, but soft sunlight most of the time.

Wow, Doug, what a great video! I’ve only managed to see the first 10 minutes, but your initial struggles to get out of the mud (wearing a most fetchin’ brief, I might add) are a great turn on. Looking forward to seeing more and more.
Thank you, Dolphin
