Feb 25 Behind the Scenes

Sample image from the “follow me” cam

I know I’m probably wasting my time, but I edited a behind the scenes clip from yesterday’s video. I can’t publish the free clips with the resolution of the for-sale versions, but I always hope that someone will enjoy the “extra features”. Those of you who are on deepsinkingguys on Social Parody, and those with accounts here, I’d love to get some feedback. There is also a contact form on the main Mudlover site. It takes time to make these clips, compress them for the web, upload them, and make a pretty page to embed them. I’d really like to know if I’m wasting my time, or if the clips are of interest.

At least, in the case of teasers, I believe they help people make more informed purchases by giving a more comprehensive preview of the movie content. This out-takes clip does not have the same audio quality as it’s for-sale counterpart, because I synced audio from the two cameras in the “real” clip. This clip contains only sections I could not or did not use in A Narrow Escape. One day soon, I’m going to make a full-length, making of a mud video, video. I’ve wanted to do that, for a long time. So, enjoy this little clip and let me know what you think. If you happen to buy A Narrow Escape, I’d like to know what you think of that one, also.

Feb 25 Sinking

2014-02-25_narrow-escapeAs you can see, I already released the video from my unplanned trip to the swamp, yesterday. I pushed myself to go out, even though it wasn’t very warm, because the weather forecast is for cold, for the foreseeable future. Even if it warms up next week, the tides will no longer be favorable.
The description of the video I put on Clips4Sale goes like this …

The opening scene; walking over unpredictable terrain

The opening scene; walking over unpredictable terrain

This clip opens with Doug, in blue running shorts, navigating barefoot through a wooded swamp. The camera follows him as he feels his way across the unpredictable terrain. He sinks up to his crotch unexpectedly, gets out, and continues until he reaches a soft spot that looks ominous. He carefully navigates across the expanse of mud, holding onto a tree for support. Then, he reaches for a tree on the other side, but doesn’t quite make it before he sinks too deep to reach either hand-hold. He struggles and continues to sink deeper until he is up to his armpits. He twists his body around and strains to reach a small tree limb that is just beyond his grasp. He is still sinking, and time is not on his side, but, after a desperate struggle, his fingers close around the branch and he drags his body from the mire. The clip ends as he walks away, into the woods; covered in mud.

Latex in Mud

2014-02-23_roped-f1In case you’ve never experienced it, having slippery mud under latex is difficult to describe.

I love to slide my cock around under the latex; it feels pretty amazing. Actually, I spent at least half of my time on Sunday (Feb 23), teasing myself through my latex briefs. I’m getting aroused just writing about it. Combine the erotic sensations with being up to my crotch or deeper in thick mud, and it’s pretty hard not to get sucked in.

I thought about adding this photo to my gallery, with no further explanation, but I felt, any photo that can give me an erection, deserves it’s own post. This frame was taken from the bondage masturbation clip, which is coming soon … if I can keep both hands on the keyboard long enough to get it done. 🙂

Swamping on Feb 23

2014-02-24_frame02Well, it wasn’t quite as warm on Sunday as it was on Saturday, but I had a hike on Saturday, so I ventured out to the swamp on Sunday. Once I got settled into the mud, I warmed up to it pretty quickly. I had 2 cameras, so I set them up and jumped right in.

If you must know, I spent most of my time, rubbing my crotch and just enjoying the erotic feeling of the mud. I came back with a lot of video, so I have to break it into 3 parts. I have already released the masturbation (without bondage) one, which is 16 minutes long! It’s called Erotic Mud Play, 2014-02-24, and you can follow the link to my clips store.

2014-02-24_frame03There will be a masturbation with rope clip (about 20 minutes), and a sinking/slogging clip that will be under 10 minutes long. Those will be released over the next 6-10 days.

I’d write more about the trip, but I’m in the middle of my work day and I’m rather busy. Here’s another picture from the recent video. The video is packed with close up shots.

New Teaser/Trailer

I made a video teaser (preview) of the new clip, because of the novel way it was recorded. I’m not sure everyone will like the body-cam effect. I like it, but I also intend to work on improving it. This is the first real clip where it was used. Check the trailers page for all of my teaser/trailers. Here is the direct link to the 2014-02-14 clip.

Valentines Day Swamping

man in wet, muddy jeans

Cleanup frame grab from 2014-02-14 video clip

It was a warm, sunny day. The temperature was near 60F (15C) with a light breeze. Low tide was precariously close to sunset, but I was determined to take advantage of the nice weather and get some video.

When I got out on the water, I realized that the “light breeze” over the water was downright chilling. What I hadn’t considered was the effect of 2 inches of freezing precipitation that had fallen recently. The water was ice cold. I was under dressed for conditions, but I was determined to get some video with my new camera rig.

I had arrived at least an hour before low tide, since the sun would be near the horizon by the time the tide was all the way out. I found a muddy spot on the shore to stop and shoot some video of me, stomping around in ankle deep mud, while I waited for the tide to go out. Eventually, I got back in my kayak and went in search of some exposed mud. I was worried about the icy cold water, and I knew I couldn’t afford to get too cold, with the sun setting and my lack of warm clothes.

I found my mudding spot, set up my equipment, and stepped in. It took about 2 steps to realize that I wasn’t going to be able to walk around in that thick mud with boots. The boots got sucked in and it was nearly impossible to break the grip of the mud. I struggled hard until I got myself back onto solid ground. Then I moved my audio recorder and stepped back in. I already had mud up to my crotch, so I was determined to get more video before I stripped off my muddy clothes and made my way back. That second dip found me almost waist deep in thick mud and pretty effectively stuck.

I eventually dragged myself out of the mud and wandered into the water to rinse off, with the camera still recording. By that time, the sun was about to set, so I put the camera away and got serious about getting cleaned up and into dry clothes. My toes were nearly frozen and my fingers were pretty cold. I got my muddy boots off and stripped off my muddy jeans. I rinsed off as well as I could, toweled off the excess water, and put on dry clothes for the paddle home. Fortunately, I had dry socks and shoes with me. I had, at least, anticipated not wanting to stay in cold, wet boots any longer than necessary.

I paddled hard on the way back to build up my core body temperature. I was also racing the setting sun. I arrived back at my car shortly after sunset. My toes were still cold, but the rest of me was pretty warm. It was nice to get into a warm car, once I had my gear loaded. The best part was the hot shower I took when I got home, and the hot bowl of soup I ate after I got out of the shower. As I like to say, “Its all part of the adventure”.

Oh, I nearly forgot to mention; the video is finished and available for download. It’s definitely not my usual video style. The body rig does not product a steady video, but it’s an interesting point of view. I found it conveyed the struggle in a way that you wouldn’t get from a tripod shot. The Test Video

Here is the test video from February 10. I was testing a new camera and camera support rig. See the related post for more details.

Testing the New Camera

Or, more specifically, testing a new camera rig that mounts on my body, so the camera follows me, wherever I may roam.Front, horizontal view

In the first video image on the left, I am walking and the camera is hovering in front of me. The camera is very small and lightweight. It is also waterproof, and has a very wide field of view. It can be mounted almost anywhere.

It was about 50 degrees Fahrenheit, today. The low tide was just after noon, so I took advantage of the coincidence of decent weather and a midday low tide to test the camera support rig that I completed yesterday. The rig is designed so I can have the camera follow me, while I slog through the swamp. I can’t go much deeper than waist deep without dipping the camera into the mud, but once I’m in past my crotch, I’m not going to be moving much, so I don’t need a special rig to follow me.Rig mounted for rear view

The image on the right shows the view when the camera is behind me, and I’m leaning forward. As I lean forward, the camera moves higher and points more downward, because the rig is attached to my shoulder.

It works in reverse when the camera is in front. When I lean back, the camera moves higher and points more downward, as you can see in the video frame on the left. You may notice the shadowfront view, leaning back of the camera and it’s support, on the left edge of this video frame. I can’t lean forward much with the camera in front, without pushing the camera into the mud. I anticipate that you’re going to get a rear view when I’m really struggling through deep mud.

Be sure to click on the thumbnail images to see the full video frame. The new camera takes some very nice video, for such a small device. I edited some video to share with everyone. I am waiting for it to transcode, as I type this. When I get the video on-line, you’ll hear the one major problem I have with this setup. The camera’s microphone picks up very little, other than the noises made by the rig as I move, and as the camera brushes against the grass. I will need to address the audio problems before I can use the camera for production, but I still have some time before mudding season officially begins. I expect to have the video on-line soon.

Cold snap!

_DJT1824The jet stream that brought extreme cold to the midwest and eastern U.S. is lifting, so relief is in sight. The forecast isn’t calling for mudding weather, but it does call for milder temperatures. I must say, I’m relieved, because 15 degrees Fahrenheit (-9.5C) is extremely cold for the area where I live. Lots of things that aren’t supposed to freeze, did. Also, I have a finite supply of firewood for the season, and I’ve been going through it like there is no tomorrow.

Thanks to all of you who have continued to purchase my old videos, while it’s just too cold to make new ones. I hope everyone who has been affected by this extreme weather has come through without too much damage. That goes for everyone in the world, who is suffering from extreme weather. I’m afraid we’re turning a new page in our climate history, and worse yet, the people most affected by it, are the ones least responsible for it.

I did the “Polar plunge” on January 1 in 53F (11.5C) water. If we get some mild weather on a day when the low tide is near midday, I’m hoping to do a polar mud plunge! 😉 What can I say? I’m just dying to get back out there.

Bound in the Mud Pit – new bondage clip

2013-12-06_mudpit-bondage1024x768We had a rather warm and pleasant day, today, so I enlisted some help to shoot a bondage clip in the black mud pit. It is the shallow pit, but it sure can make a mess of a guy. You can find the clip, and a description of the action at my clip store.

I could not have done this clip without help. The bondage is quite real and strict. Also, it helps a lot to have someone to operate the camera. There are lots of close ups, and the focus is excellent.

This is more of a bondage clip than a sinking clip. My head does nearly go under, and the mud nearly closes completely over my face, but I don’t really do much sinking. It’s more of a big struggle in some strict, and erotic bondage, while wearing some pretty small latex briefs. I think it’s a pretty erotic clip. It’s the best I could do, with short days and a brief window of warm weather.

Oops! Clip Release

2013-11-16_swamp_1440x1080This is the clip I made on November 16 (see my previous blog entry). I’m wearing skin tight, and I mean “skin tight”, shorts and a chopped t-shirt, because what would be the point in wearing skin tight shorts if I covered them up with a long t-shirt?

I tried to balance on that shaky, slippery beam and I fell into the mud (surprise!). The first time I fell in, it took me several minutes to get myself back out. After that, I fall in several more times; a couple of times I fall head-first. There is some more struggling, and some good shots of my muddy body, as I drag myself up onto the beam. Although I don’t go completely under the mud, I manage to get completely covered in mud.

The clip is available now, in my store. Here is a link to the clip.

November Mud

2013-11-16_fallenThe weather has not been conducive to swamping, most of this week. Today, however, the low tide was about 90 minutes before sunset, and the weather was pleasant. Tonight is a full moon, so the tide was very low and lasted longer than I could stay out, thanks to impending darkness, and the associated temperature drop. I do wish I had stayed out longer, but it’s probably best that I got cleaned up and dressed before dark.

Anyway, I fell into some mud, several times. I had a bit of fun, and a bit of a struggle. I got completely covered in mud, and I sank up to my chest a couple of times.

2013-11-16_pullingI’m completely exhausted, right now. So, I’m going to keep this short and get ready for bed. I’ll add a few video frames for you to enjoy. I’ll release the video as soon as I can find time to get it ready.2013-11-16_layed-back

Stuck (2013-10-30) Clip Release

2013-10-30_stuckThis may be the last new clip for a while. The days are getting short, and I’ve been really busy. I shot this on Oct 30. It features a very long sinking sequence that doesn’t end well for me. I am hopelessly stuck in the quickmud and the tide is coming in. It is just a question of whether the mud will swallow me before the tide drowns me.

This clip opens as my kayak gets beached on the mud. I step off my kayak to push it back into deeper water, but, as soon as I step off, I realize my error. Then I let my kayak drift away, which leaves me in the middle of a treacherous mudflat with no boat, no paddle, wearing only tiny, metallic-blue briefs and a hat.

The mud gets thicker as I sink deeper, so the sink progresses slowly. I edited it down to 31 minutes, but it is still one of my longer clips. There is a little bit of wind noise, but it’s not bad. The video quality is above average, with bright, but soft sunlight most of the time.

Swamp Explorer clip

2013-10-28_swampexplorer_800x600The Swamp Explorer clip was shot on 2013-10-28. It’s a short clip, but it’s packed with action. In the first 3 minutes, I’m slogging around the treacherous swamp. The real peril is in the last 3 minutes. I stumble into quicksand, struggle to find something substantial to pull myself out, but I ultimately fail to rescue myself, and I slip below the surface into the depths of the insidious swamp.

Trout Season

2013-10-30_onkayakI ran into 3 fishing boats on my way out, today. I asked one of the fishermen what they were trying to catch, and he responded, “trout”. Well, that explains it, doesn’t it? Everyone loves the speckled trout. But I digress.

So I picked a spot where I could clean up without first paddling out onto the main creek. I set up a scene where my kayak gets grounded and I have to step out onto the muddy flat to push it off. It turns out the mud is deeper and softer than I anticipated (it actually was, by the way). I lost my grip on the kayak, which drifted out of reach, and I was left in the middle of the treacherous mud, with nothing to grab onto. 2013-10-30_struggle2Needless to say, this saga didn’t end well. I had planned on making it a “stuck” video, with me sinking up to my armpits in the thick mud and hoping someone would rescue me before the tide came in and drowned me. As it turned out, the tide took a little longer than I expected, so I sank a bit deeper than I had planned.

2013-10-30_struggle1My biggest challenge with this video will be deciding how to edit it. The video will be over 30 minutes long, if I let the entire saga unfold in real time. That makes a rather expensive video.  I may look for creative ways to trim it down some.
