I didn’t get up early enough this morning to take full advantage of the low tide because it was pretty cool outside, but I did go into the swamp to see what I might be able to do before the tide came back in. By the time I began setting up for my first shot, the tide was coming in. I decided to go ahead with the plan, but I probably ruined a pair of white briefs for a rather short video.
After I got out of the mud, having just arrived on location about 20 minutes earlier, I took a few minutes to take some still photos in my blue latex briefs, using the Nikon DSLR. Most of the images that I use on this web-site are still frames from video (1920 x 1080 pixels). The still images from my DSLR are 16 Megapixels and the “RAW” images have more dynamic range, and are much higher quality, thanks to lossless compression. But, I digress …
I took some still photos, shot some more video for my “making of a mud movie” movie, and headed back to the homestead. I wouldn’t have hurried back, but I dropped my microphone on the muddy ground while packing, and I needed to clean it before corrosion set in.
