Look mom, no camera

Posted by on May 8, 2014

I went swamping today and I did not set up a video camera, or any other camera, for that matter. I set out across the thick mud with some rope and my 35lb (~15kg) weight. With my ankles tied, and my wrists tied behind my back, I managed to work myself completely under the thick mud, with the help of the lead weight.

It’s a lot of work, working a body deep into thick mud, without the use of one’s arms, and with limited use of one’s legs. However, it’s even more work, working a body back out of the mud, once it’s totally immersed, weighted, and bound. I got a great workout. I wish I had it all on camera, but that would have been a distraction. It was nice to be able to struggle and sink without thinking about a camera (or two).

I’m sorry I have no photos to attach to this blog entry, but I’ll be posting some new videos, soon. I’m also making good progress on my “Making a mud video” movie.
