I shot a “quicksand” clip in June of 2022 that got pushed aside by other shooting and editing, since that is my busy time of the year. I finished the edit a while back. Today, I finally got around to publishing it. I must say, it’s not my favorite quicksand clip. My goal was to go under quickly, but that wasn’t possible. There is a 3.5 minute lead up to the fall into the quicksand. I wanted a build up to the feature scene, although I’m not sure that worked very well, either. There are lots of good shots of me in some short sorts, barefooted and wet. Check out the teaser. If you like bare feet in the wild, *and* quicksand, you should love this one. 😉
The low tide was too much to pass up on Sunday, although it was a cool day with just enough of a breeze to be a little chilly when you’re wet.
I set out around 13:30 on Sunday. The sun was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. I got to the launch just before 14:00 and launched my boat as quickly as I could. I didn’t want to miss out on the low tide and I had a long trip on the water to get where I wanted to go.
I took the short cut where I drag my boat through the grass to bypass a couple miles of paddling. I had plenty of paddling to do, so I figured I’d let my legs do some of the work. When I got to the creek after my overland passage, I could see the tide was pretty low already. It was early enough that I’d have several hours before I’d have to return to the boat launch, so I crossed my fingers and hoped the tide would stay low for at least a couple of hours.
My progress on the creek was slow because I had to stop and check out some interesting looking spots. I shot as much video as I could, but my main focus was paddling to my destination. As it turned out, I found somewhere else I wanted to spend some time before I got to my intended destination and I spent the rest of my play time there. I did some exploring, and I set up the bondage scene I had planned for the day.
After shooting my “feature” scene, I was getting pretty cold. I had been wet and mostly naked for a long time and it was starting to take it’s toll on my core temperature. I had to get washed off and back into some clothes. I didn’t really have much in the way of dry clothes, so I was going to be wet for the rest of the trip. I did have a dry shirt I could put on, but I waited until I was sure I wasn’t going to get it wet.
The trip was a lot of fun. I returned to the launch just before sunset (probably 19:00 or so), so I had been out for about 5 hours from the time I launched until my return. Needless to say I got a lot of exercise. I also got my feature video and some behind the scenes video. The images included here are from the video.
Today I went for a hike in the swamp and shot some video as I explored some places I’ve never been. The soft spots were kind of random. None of them were really deep; the deepest was almost up to my crotch. The area has great potential for some dramatic scenes and some bondage play. I’ll probably post more about my hike when I publish the video.
What I have for you, tonight, is a free clip of a scene that I thought of as I was paddling around some of my old sinking spots. I think this video is more of a proof of concept, so I decided to put it up here for free viewing/downloading.
Oh, and after I was done and had rinsed the mud off my jeans, I stretched out on the deck of my kayak to drip dry a little before getting into the cockpit. It sucks when I bring a ton of water into my sit-inside kayak. I shot a little video because I thought I looked pretty good. The people driving by where I launch my boat got a free show. On my way back I stopped and took some wet-jeans photos, so when I got to the launch, I was really wet and those jeans were hugging every curve. I felt like an exhibitionist, but fuck ’em if they can’t appreciate a dripping wet man in tight black jeans.
The video blog doesn’t tell half the story, so I’ll write a few words here. If you’re in a hurry just to see a nearly naked man in the swamp, just skip past all of this.
I set out on a 3 mile (5 km) paddle in heavy winds (gusting in excess of 18m/hour or 30km/hour) around 17:00 to arrive at a spot very close to one of my favorite sinking holes with enough time to set up a campsite for the night and eat something before it got dark. The paddle wasn’t that bad since I wasn’t going straight into the wind for more than 1/3 of the trip. I did, however, develop a painful blister because I was paddling hard and it’s early in the season, so my skin isn’t toughened up yet. That would be more of an issue for the return trip.
I arrived about 90 minutes before sunset, so I had lots of time. I found a pretty good spot for my hammock so I wouldn’t have to sleep on the ground, which was likely to flood at high tide. Since I did have some extra time, I shot some video for my vlog, checked out some of the mud nearby, and took a dip in the mud just as the sun was disappearing. I had to clean up in the creek as it was getting dark. In the summer, that would be risky, since the alligators hunt as dusk and it’s hard for them to tell what they are about to bite into. The alligators aren’t very active this time of year because the water is still pretty cold.
While shooting my vlog, my tripod tipped over and my camera took a dip in the mud. I had to use some of my fresh water to rinse the salty mud off of it. I had to be careful not to use too much water, since I brought what I thought I needed for the trip, but more importantly, I wasn’t sure if the camera was going to survive the dousing. It is not a waterproof camera. As of now, I think it survived.
When it got dark, the mosquitoes came out in numbers I haven’t seen in years. They were swarming me, so I had no choice but to slather myself with repellent. It’s a good thing I brought repellent, I didn’t think I would need it. I ended up retiring to my screened-in hammock shortly after dark to get away from the marauding blood suckers.
Although I got to bed early, I didn’t sleep well. First it was hard to get used to the clatter of the dead grass, which sounded like I had an army of skeletons surrounding me in the darkness. Once I figured out that the swamp wasn’t haunted, my next challenge was the wind rustling the rain cover on my hammock. The wind was gusting hard and it was also changing direction. The loud flapping noises would often wake me up. At 3:30, I was sure it was almost time to get up; it was a long night.
In the morning, most of the mosquitoes were gone, but I started my day with a fresh slathering of repellent. The tide was still going out when I got up, so I had time to pack up my campsite before I ventured out to explore the mud. I hiked around a bit and I went into the deep mud twice; both times in the Speedos I chose to wear around camp. The tide started coming back in before it got really low, so I didn’t get the inspiration I needed for a full immersion in cold mud. I did take a brief swim in the creek before toweling off and putting on dry clothes to get warmed up. I’ll probably have a couple of short videos to publish. One will probably be a freebee.
My return paddle wasn’t too bad, even though the wind was still gusting pretty hard (I put a bandage over my open blister). I got back to the boat launch at 12:00 on March 25. It was an adventure. I’m not sure if I’d do it again, but it would be really difficult to get up and out of the house early enough to get to the mud by 08:00 (I’d have to leave by 06:00). My greatest challenge is always aligning my schedule and suitable weather with the low tides; especially when so many low tides turn out to offer a very brief (and sometimes non-existent) window of opportunity.
Mudding season will be in full swing soon. I’m ready!
The weather is warming up; maybe a bit faster than it should be. I went out kayaking, today. I was hoping to catch a low tide and explore some more of my swamp. The wind really screwed with the tides, so I mostly spent my time exploring. Sometimes I get lucky and I find a new spot.
The shorts I was wearing are some new cutoffs I tailored to fit me just the way I like. I’ve been wearing them a lot, but this was their first trip into the swamp.
I stopped a couple times to take some photos. First I took some photos of me, then I got some pretty decent photos of a large alligator, sunning himself on the bank. I recorded video on my action-cam. As usual, the best bits didn’t get recorded because I ditched my gear to explore some terrain that was very difficult to navigate.
I’ll try to put together a trip vlog (video) at some point. I’ll be pretty busy this week, so I decided to post something quick before I move on to the next thing. Otherwise, I’m definitely ready for another mud season. I hope it’s a good one.
This is part 2 from the video I shot on January 2. That was the last time I was in the swamp. We haven’t had a low tide during the mid day when it’s warm enough since. For that matter, we haven’t had a low tide during daylight hours on a warm day. Anyway, this clip opens as I strip off my wetsuit and continues until I stopped shooting video and got dressed to paddle home.
I am releasing the video from my trip on January 2 in two parts. The first part is my arrival in the swamp and everything up until I strip off my wetsuit. The second part will be everything after I removed the wetsuit (wearing just the red briefs).
So, this first feature is for the wetsuit lovers. Obviously, there isn’t as much skin, but there are two leaps into the mud and some desperate stuck/sinking scenes. There is also a cleanup scene, and some slogging (dragging the boat) at the beginning of the clip. All of it, and I can’t stress this enough, is while I am pretty much covered from head to toe in my BodyGlove wetsuit.
Today I wriggled into my wetsuit and took my new kayak into the swamp for the annual “polar plunge”. Of course, I did it all wrong. First, I was wearing protection from the cold, and after I ditched that, I went in head first.
I did my first 2 jumps into the mud, wearing the neoprene suit, gloves and boots. In retrospect, I think I could have tolerated the cold without it, but it probably extended my play time. In the past, I’ve gotten hypothermia and it’s taken me a long time to warm up after I got cleaned up and into dry clothes. This time, my core temperature didn’t drop at all. Although the water was cold, I never felt like I was getting cold.
I guess I wanted something to make the trip more interesting, so I rigged a hip harness around my loins before I put on the wetsuit. The rope around and over my genitals gave me something to think about, as I moved around in the mud. I dragged my boat about half way to the place I selected for my “plunge”. That might be what got me warmed up, because it’s even more difficult navigating the mud when you’re covered in neoprene and wearing diving boots.
I managed to record most of my adventure, so I cut together a short video for you to check out. I hope you like it. I suppose I’ll have to put a longer version in my clip store at my first opportunity.
I had to investigate the OpenAI chat-bot that has been getting so much press. I asked it to describe the experience of sinking in quicksand. This is the response I got …
Sinking in quicksand can be a disorienting and potentially dangerous experience. Quicksand is a type of wet sand that is often found near bodies of water, such as rivers or wetlands. It is made up of fine sand particles that have been saturated with water, causing the sand to become very dense and slippery. When a person steps on quicksand, their weight can cause them to sink down into it.
If a person finds themselves sinking in quicksand, it is important that they remain calm and try not to struggle. The best way to escape quicksand is to move slowly and carefully, using a floating object to help support their weight. For example, a person could try to use a stick or log to help them float on top of the quicksand. It is also important to avoid trying to stand up, as this can cause the person to sink even deeper. Instead, they should try to lie on their back and use their arms and legs to slowly and carefully move themselves to firmer ground.
I was hoping for something a bit more colorful, and this response isn’t 100% accurate. I guess the bot has gathered a lot of information from urban legends.
I haven’t released a “stuck” clip in a while, so I decided to edit this one from my most recent trip on November 20. There isn’t much to say about it. I set out in tight black jeans to cross some innocent looking mud, but I get bogged down, my legs get stuck in the really thick mud at the bottom, and all I can do is sink deeper as I struggle to free myself.
It was a pretty cold November day, today, but the tide was really low and I was in the mood to torture myself by standing, naked and wet, in the swamp at 45F (7C) temperatures. I think I recorded a pretty decent “stuck” video, if I ever get it edited. For now, here is a short vlog of my trip …
I edited this clip some time ago, but I didn’t finish the promotional materials or add it to my clip store, for some reason. Shooting this clip was almost an afterthought. I was leaving the swamp after attempting to build a bridge that did not work out. I edited this 7 minute vlog so you could see how the trip started out …
After all that, the tide was coming in slowly, and I had just enough daylight left, so I decided to do some torturous bondage before I left; just for fun. Then I decided I might as well shoot some video while I was at it. I think that’s why I didn’t publish it, at the time. I just felt like it was more of a personal fantasy than a production with mass appeal. However, looking at it with fresh eyes, I think it’s good enough to put out there. Nobody has to buy it if they don’t think they will like it.
The idea of this video really turns me on. It’s a fantasy of mine where I am stuck in the mud, unable to get out because I am bound too tightly, but also in some sort of predicament. In this scene, as I sink deeper (which I cannot avoid doing), the rope that his holding me up by my genitals gets tighter and more painful. I struggle for relief, but that just encourages the mud to pull me deeper. If I could sink deeper, I would weigh less and there would be less force on my tender man-bits, but I would also be more thoroughly mired down in the thick, black, sludge.
This is a very dark fantasy, which is why this clip feels kind of personal. The difference between the reality and fantasy, of course, is that in the real version, I had to make sure I could free myself. That makes it a little less fun, but actually dying of exposure probably isn’t as exciting as I imagine it to be. 🙂
p.s. I hope you enjoyed my bridge building fiasco. That was the first time (and last) that I’ve ever been attacked by ants in the swamp. Their bites felt like bee stings.
A Rear View from the Swamp is for people who enjoy butt shots. It includes some slogging, sinking, and struggling, but it’s definitely not a deep sinking video. It has no full immersions, and it is limited on crotch shots. I started editing a vlog entry from this trip, but it never got finished; I don’t know if I can publish an old vlog entry. I’m working my way through the unedited video from the 2022 season. I still have a few scenes that I think will make good videos.
Twitter is looking like a dumpster fire these days, so I’ve been investigating Mastodon. I set up an account to evaluate it (I’m still on Twitter as @mudbondage, and I’m still checking it on a semi-regular basis, for now). Mastodon is a distributed system and anyone can set up a server. I’m actually thinking of creating my own Mastodon server specifically for mud and bondage people. I’ll need to do more research before I take that leap; I believe I may need a dedicated server, so that would involve some expense.
On a totally unrelated note: I bought some new “pants” from Ishtar & Brute. They are their “hot pants” and everything they sell is custom made to the buyer’s measurements. Needless to say, they fit really well. You can check out some pictures and a teaser video on my male bondage blog, if you wish. It might be a while before I dare to wear them in the mud.
When I went out this past Monday, as I mentioned in my blog, I went somewhere where I could tie myself to a tree. I was very horny, and I played for nearly an hour. Even though I edited out all of the tying and retying, and the bits that weren’t that interesting, I still ended up with 30 minutes of moaning, struggling, masturbating, mud humping, and genital torture. I had an erection for nearly the entire time. It was devastating, but in a good way.
I know this bondage stuff isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but this video makes me horny to watch. It takes a long time to edit this much video, and it was a struggle to stay focused on the task at hand.
Check out the teaser video, below, and use this link to find the clip in my clip store.
