I went out mudding on Sunday, October 23. It was hard to get away. I’ve been working 7 days a week, lately. I actually had to slip out between tasks. I was lucky I could time my trip with low tide. The tide wasn’t really low, but it was low enough to expose some thick, deep mud in one of my favorite spots. I decided to approach the mud, head first, and use a breathing tube so I could stay under for a while. Here are some still frames from the video…
I got inverted several times, went completely under, and just enjoyed the thick, smooth, man-eating mud. It was really nice to be back in the mud, after several weeks away. I have to get out as much as I can in the next couple of weeks. November usually marks the end of my mudding season.
Some good shots.. My favorite is still the tresspasser and trash collector.. Hopefully this spring I can make it up and have you show me how you pro’s go mudding the right way… LOL
Thanks, Stever. I know the clips with a storyline have a certain appeal. They’re even better when there’s more than one actor. They are, however, the more difficult ones to produce.
Hello Doug…
Haven’t heard anything from you on the SWAMP site…assuming you are super busy. I was extraordinarily busy in October and most of this month. Now that all the state-level meetings are over, I’m off on a ten day vacation in Hendersonville. I’d love to come out your way for a visit, but I don’t think there will time for that this trip, what with Thanksgiving holiday right in the middle of the time I’ll be there. If the weather bureau predictions are anywhere accurate, there should be some fairly mild, pleasant weather the next week or so. In the Spring, I should be able to come out for more days.
Our rainy season actually has been pretty good…and it is starting–at least the first hump–right on time…this week. So far, storms haven’t produced enough rainfall for good mud pools down at my favourite beach. Hopefully that might change a bit while I’m off on vacation.
Anything in the offing? Cheers for now…don’t work too hard…a nice mud sink might be just the thing to do.
The weather is not as inviting, the tides have been unpredictable, and the 4rth quarter is always a busy one for me, professionally. I have 2 more mud clips to release. I should be releasing a clay-pit bondage one, soon.
