The low tides have been shamefully inadequate, this week. Today looked like I could find some mud if I was creative and timed it just right. I did what I could and I shot some video. I even managed to do my first total immersion scene of 2023 (unless you could my polar plunge dive on Jan 2 … which wasn’t really an immersion scene).
The vlog below, takes you though most of my trip. When I first arrived at the creek, I had some time to kill as the tide was still going out and it wasn’t nearly low enough, so I posed for some video in my newly tailored denim shorts.
After that, I went to a spot that I knew would not be under water at the current tide level, but I had to clear debris and water from the spot before I could sink (all covered in the video).
Next I changed into a red, PVC brief and did a desperate, feet-first, total immersion. The video only has a brief clip of me, coming back up after going under. That’s about where the camera battery decided to give up and I didn’t have enough going on to bother finding another battery.
Sorry the scenes are so short, but I had to limit the video to 2 minutes. It’s still better than a handful of still frames; just not as much resolution.
