It’s called “Someone Help Me, I Can’t Move”, because I really couldn’t. It is a lot more difficult to navigate that mud with boots and jeans than it is barefoot and nearly naked.
I think this video is pretty good. There is a short setup, in which you get to see my wardrobe and boots. I stay dry for the first 5 seconds, then wade through some water with a soft, muddy bottom. I crash through some grass, then make the fateful step into some deceptively deep mud. I was determined to cross that spot, so I took a couple of steps before I got completely stuck. After that, I just struggle, complain loudly, and slowly sink deeper. I couldn’t pull up either foot, or even turn around. I’d probably still be there if I were not such an experienced mudder, but I hate to brag.
Anyway, after I exhaust myself and sink up to my neck, the scene fades to black. Then there is a little more video, where I extract myself and rinse off in some nearby water. I hope someone likes this video. I really wanted to do a full immersion, I just physically couldn’t go any deeper; or it would have taken another 3 hours to get there. I’m pretty sure this will be the last clip of the year. I’ve got some old video to sort out and release, sometime, but I have no time before the new year.

Hi Doug
Looks good
I usually have to use a wetsuit as commonly very cold here in the uk
Can’t wait for the new season to start
Didn’t manage to get to sink as often as i would wish this past season
Hope Christmas and New Year are good for you
Andy
Hi, Andy. Thanks for stopping by. I must admit that I am spoiled by the warm weather, here. I generally just hibernate in the winter, so I don’t have to deal with all that protective gear. My boots are still drying.
Hello Doug…
Enjoyed the video a lot. Particularly liked the multiple perspectives…that must take some time to set up properly. Many thanks for a really good video.
Thank you, Dolphin. For once, I had a low tide that gave me time to do setups and not worry about getting overrun by water before I finished.
Hello Doug…
A very HAPPY NEW YEAR to you!
Thanks, Dolphin. The same to you. I took the polar plunge, today.
Hi Doug
Hope you had a good Christmas and New Year
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with this year
Still cold and gloomy here in the uk at the moment
Andy
It was a very busy December, for me. It went by rather quickly. Although it was a bit stressful, there were no real hardships. So far, January has been alright. I’m definitely looking forward to warmer weather.
Thank you, I hope you too have a great 2015.
