The rain still hasn’t stopped. I got this idea to go into the woods and hang by my ankles in the rain, but it stopped raining before I got out there. I do think the image would have been better if it had been raining, but it didn’t turn out too bad without rain.
I did this all by myself. It is a tricky photograph to get. I haven’t looked at the video from my GoPro. The GoPro is not very good in low light conditions. I let it record this event, for documentation. The main camera was the Nikon DSLR shooting in interval timer mode.
It’s not really too hard to get suspended, and cuff my wrists, but it takes hours before my head feels normal, again, after I spend 20 minutes hanging upside down. I hope someone likes the photo. I can’t go mudding until this rain stops and the creek level has a chance to subside. We got 2.6″ of rain, yesterday, and another 0.7″, today. We’re expecting more, tomorrow. I sure hope it takes a break, soon. It’s too bad we couldn’t redirect some of this rain to the west coast, where they’re having a prolonged drought.
I like the photo of your backyard adventures. Post some more in the Galleries section, maybe? You have rain, we have very muggy, hot weather, but no rain…the drought continues and we haven’t even reached the really hot months (September and October).
The knee continues to heal and get better…no enough to go to the marsh near here, however.
Oh, yes, I did enjoy your last video…some really great camera angles in that one. And, you are most successful in conveying the great enjoyment and fun you are having.
Thanks. I made a 3rd attempt, today, and it actually kept raining so I could get my rain photos. I’ll put some in the gallery when I get a minute to watermark them. The new ones are pretty good.
