Actually, I do more of these scenes than you might think. I need to do some just to find out what I can actually do in the thick mud. I did a scene very similar to this one the day before (June 27) that I also recorded, but it ended too soon so I set the entire thing up again, this morning and shot it again, with some improvements.
I may someday publish the first of the two attempts, but today I’m publishing the second one, which I also think is probably the better of the two. They both have their selling points.
This was a self bondage, which means I have to have some type of fail safe release. On the 27th, I used an ice cube timer that melted sooner than I expected, so my scene got cut short. On the 28th (this clip), I used a magnetic release with an electronic timer set to 31 minutes. It turns out that 31 minutes is a pretty long time to be hanging by your ankles with your upper body in the mud.
