2015-07-25: Yup, I went for a paddle at the time of low tide. I wasn’t expecting much because we got 2.5″ (~6 cm) of rain a couple of days ago. That fact, combined with a tepid tide and a wind pushing water up the creek, resulted in a low tide that just didn’t happen. It was about 6″ (15 cm) higher than it needed to be.
I had a pleasant paddle. I paddled over 5 miles (~8.5km), so I could get some exercise and work out the stiffness and pain in my lower back. I’m not sure the paddle helped with my back; I was pretty sore when I returned. It was a nice stretch for my arms. I’m glad I didn’t stay home, but it would have been nice to have found some mud.
I scheduled the video from my last trip to appear in my store on July 30 at 3pm EDT. Given the problems I’ve been having, this year, I need to spread my clips out a little. I still have a few to release, and I hope to be shooting again, soon. I’ve been working on my documentary every chance I get, but I can’t spend much time sitting, so about all I’m getting done on the computer is the high priority stuff.
