In case you haven’t noticed, I haven’t yet finished my documentary. It’s kind of a special project, and I’m not going to release it until it’s everything I think it can be. So, today, I took some time to shoot some more video for the “Making of a Mud Movie Movie”.
I got an idea to use a long bamboo pole to support the GoPro camera for some overhead shots. Considering this was my first attempt, I think I got some interesting shots. I rigged the pole in my boat like a mast and shot some video while paddling down the creek. It’s interesting to see the world from 20 feet in the air, when you’re used to seeing it while seated in a kayak. From a documentary perspective, the wide overview adds an additional perspective.
It was pretty warm, today, and it was a very nice day to be on the water. I had a nice paddle and I got to see a momma duck with her ducklings. I didn’t shoot any actual sinking video. I can imagine using the pole camera to shoot a setup scene for a mud video, but there wasn’t enough time to do everything, today.
The mud masturbation video I shot yesterday is nearly ready to release. I’ll probably release that one, tomorrow.
