I suppose I don’t need to tell you that the weather hasn’t been conducive to sinking. It sure looks like my sinking season has drawn to a close. Today, of course, was Thanksgiving; a holiday we celebrate in the states with lots of rich and decadent food. Some Americans like to think they’re poor, but most of us don’t know what it means to be hungry. I am thankful for that, but I wish it were true for the whole world.
I had to set my documentary aside for a while, to do some “real” work, so I could pay the bills. I’m getting close to finishing it, but it’s kind of driving me crazy. The still on the left is from another “interview” shoot I did for the Making of a Mud Movie Movie. I believe this was my 3rd attempt. I didn’t like the audio quality on the first attempt (in jeans), and my second attempt was incomplete. I even had to re-record some bits after completing the 3rd attempt! I sure hope all of my effort pays off.
So, I had a great Thanksgiving. The sun was out for the first time all week. That was a welcome change. The forecast is for cool, sunny weather for the next few days. I’m looking forward to a kayaking trip on Sunday. I hope everyone is well. In case you’re wondering, I do still have a couple of unedited clips. I’ll be releasing those as time allows. They are not a high priority, now, because I probably won’t be shooting anything for a few months.
