I horsed around a bit and took advantage of the cord that I installed when I made the pit, which runs through an anchor point at the bottom of the pit. I can use the cord to hold my body deeper in the mud than I would normally go without something pulling me down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t leave the pit without getting mud in my hair and nose and ears, so I lay back, hiked my hips up and pushed my head under.
