Yup, that’s right. I went exploring again. This would be day 3 for this general area. Today’s trip was a little shorter than the previous two, but it was even more grueling. I just happened to be traversing the shallow waterways at the lowest tide level and those “shallow” waterways have no bottom. If you’re not standing on a log, you aren’t standing on anything. When the water is too shallow to paddle, I have to hold myself up on my boat so I don’t sink in up to my chest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of the reason for today’s trip was to field test my brand new action cam. All of the video I shot was on the action cam and I recorded it at 4K resolution, 60 frames per second. That’s probably a little extreme, but it was a test after all. Given the intense sun, I probably should have tried the HDR mode to see if the extended dynamic range would have been better at getting shadow detail in the bright sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I shot a lot of video, so I had to grab some short sections of a few shots and reduce the resolution to 960×540 in order to have a video file small enough to publish here. I’ll put a longer version in 1080p resolution (1920×1080) on Clips4Sale once I get it edited. That may take a while, I’m actually behind on editing. I have at least 2 mud videos to edit from before today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
