Today was the first official day of the long weekend. It was kind of a lazy day for me.<\/p>\n

I picked blueberries and worked on a seat for my 15′ canoe. I took an afternoon nap, watered the garden, and took a walk in the woods at dusk. I managed to edit and compress a movie clip I shot yesterday of Heather Blake, mushing around in some shallow swamp mud<\/a>. We had gone out to shoot a serious mud scene, but we were thwarted by a south wind pushing water up into the estuary and some fishermen blocking my alternate spot (where I can go when the tide isn’t as low as it needs to be for some of my other spots).<\/p>\n
