\"2014-08-09_claypit1\"<\/a>We have gotten over 9 inches (23 cm) in the past 7 days. The creek is flooded beyond hope. I checked it, yesterday at low tide. I’m not sure when I’ll be out in the swamp, again. There is more rain in the forecast.<\/p>\n

Today, after I mowed as much as I could, I uncovered the clay pit for some bondage in the clay. Since the clay pit is on high ground and it is covered, it’s not affected by the rain. It started raining on me while I was playing in the clay. I didn’t let that stop me from enjoying myself a while longer. Actually, it took me over 5 minutes to break free of the clay, so I couldn’t have just run for cover, even if I had reason to. In the picture on the left, I’m lifting myself up by my arms and twisting and pulling on my legs to break them free. I was up to my crotch when I started the extrication effort, and my ankles are tied together, so I can’t pull one leg out at a time.<\/p>\n

\"2014-08-02_inversion1\"<\/a>About a week ago, I made a 3rd attempt at my inverted suspension in the woods. This time, it kept raining, so I was getting rained on while I was shooting. The rain wasn’t heavy, but it was steady. Having tried this twice before, I took extra steps to make sure I’d get some decent photos. I feel like this was a successful shoot, so I’m going to post a few more photos in the gallery<\/a> and take a rest from hanging upside down.<\/p>\n

I’m anxious to get out mudding, again. Maybe the break was good for me, but this rain needs to stop, regardless of whether I go mudding, or not.<\/p>\n

I have to make this short, because it’s getting late and I have a 6 mile hike in the morning. I hope everyone is doing well. I’ll have another video to release in the next few days. I still have a backlog of video.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
