I went into the swamp, today. I brought my new camera guy, and I wore a new pair of metallic blue swim trunks.<\/p>\n

In preparation for this trip, I did something a little different; I shot some video, while I was getting things ready, and I had camera guy shoot some video when we arrived at the creek, and when we arrived at the sinking spot. My goal was to put together a “making of a mud movie” movie for my blog. The clips I have so far are pretty good, but I’m not sure they tell the whole story, so I may not edit them together, yet.<\/p>\n

Of course, we shot a feature for my clip store, and we shot a bonus clip of camera guy, taking a spin in the mud. He even went in the deep end, but he wasn’t about to go completely under.<\/p>\n

It was a good trip, though. The tide wasn’t as low as I would have preferred, but we had great weather and there was enough mud, and just enough time to have a good wallow. I was doing somersaults and other crazy maneuvers in the mud. My eyes are completely destroyed from sand I got in them, going under and coming up so many times. If I’d learn to keep them closed, I’d be much better off, but I have to check where I am, every so often.<\/p>\n

\"2014-05-06_muddyhead\"<\/a>After I did my first wallow, I took camera guy to another spot and did a head first dive. The mud I dove into hadn’t been disturbed in a while, so it was thick, and I was planted. It was good. That’s where camera guy ended up in the mud. He’s no stranger to mud, but I think this mud was deeper than anything he’d generally run into.
