\"2014-03-22_swamp\"<\/a>This one required a lot of editing. I had to sync up the audio a few times, thanks to drift from the different frame rates on the two cameras. I also had a lot of movement in the opening 4 minutes and in the last few minutes, where I did a lot of cutting, to keep the action on camera.<\/p>\n

Finally, there was the audio from the GoPro. In the opening scenes, and the final cleanup scenes, the GoPro is the only camera, so I applied some filters to make the audio from the GoPro sound a little clearer. When that camera is in it’s waterproof case, the audio is pretty muted. There isn’t much I can do about it, if I’m going to take advantage of the waterproof feature to get unique shots. I even got to test the waterproof case on this adventure, when I tipped the camera, face down, in the mud. When I’m not moving so much, I can use a second camera to record audio which is what I did for the feature section of this clip.<\/p>\n

I think the final result was pretty good. I like the slogging scenes, personally. The mud was thick, but it was bottomless. I got in up to my ears, but I couldn’t quite go completely under. The next time I visit that location, I’m going under, even if it kills me! (hopefully, it will be warmer!)<\/p>\n
