\"2013-07-03_clean\"<\/a>I know you guys don’t want to hear about yet another hot mud adventure. How about if I complain about how much work it was? I arrived at the creek after the tide had gone mostly out, so I had to slog my way into my favorite quickmud spot. I tried to get some of the slogging on camera. That made if more difficult, as I had to slog a little way, then return for the camera. This slogging stuff is really difficult. The mud is really deep, and every step is a colossal effort.<\/p>\n

So, the first picture shows what I looked like before I started battling down a course of treacherous, smelly mud. I was wearing an old t-shirt that I cut off, and a brand new pair of nylon swim trunks that are about 2 sizes too small for me. (That right there should garner some sympathy from anyone with testicles.)\"2013-07-03_step1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In the photo on the right, I have arrived at the place where I will leave my boat and set up to video tape my muddy demise. That’s how muddy I got just getting there! (Are you feeling better, yet? Do you feel a little sorry for me?)<\/p>\n

\"2013-07-03_fatefulstep\"<\/a>When I arrived at my super deep and treacherous pool of sucking mud, I tried to wade across it. I did not make it, and I ended up drowning in the quickmud. In the photo on the left, I’m about to take that fateful step. You would think, by now, I’d know better than to try to cross that spot. Apparently, I’m a really slow learner. (You’d better be feeling pretty bad for me, by now, you heartless bastard.)<\/p>\n

\"2013-07-03_after2\"<\/a>Finally, I’ll leave you with a photo of the aftermath. I actually did a couple of sinks, and it was a pretty great trip. That spot is one of the hardest ones to get in and out of, so it is a lot of work, but it’s worth it. The video came out well, although the sun was coming and going, constantly, so the lighting is constantly changing, and the wind had it’s way with the audio because I recorded with the JVC’s built in stereo mic. Generally, I use a mic with a wind screen, but I had to travel light today.<\/p>\n

I can’t wait to release the video. It’s a lot of fun. No bondage today, just lots and lots of messy, deep mud! (Don’t hate me just because I get to play in awesome mud.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
