\"\"<\/a>What a trip! The wind was blowing out of the north this morning, which is very unusual this time of year. We had a cold front coming in, but it was still quite warm and sunny. So, with the wind blowing the water out of the estuary, I had an exceptionally low tide that lasted for hours.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0 did my first sink of the day in thick mud, with my wrists tied behind my back. I managed to go completely under, but I had to fight for every inch. After that exhausting sink, I pulled on some blue shorts and went slogging around to explore some nearby mud. I slogged through sloppy mud with water over it, shallow mud, and some really deep mud that sucked me completely under.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I think I got a little sunburned, but otherwise, I emerged from the swamp unscathed. It was a good trip. I took my time, enjoyed the mud and the sun, and had a nice, relaxing paddle on the creek. Heather Blake came along and operated the video camera, so I got pretty good video coverage of the entire adventure. She also took all of the still photos you see here.
