I just published a video that was a test run of a new gadget I built for shooting my videos. When I’m shooting alone, which is most of the time, I generally set up 2-4 cameras so I can show different points of view in the final edit. The problem is that all of the cameras are stationary, which can get kind of boring. So, I created a camera stabilizer that can move the camera around with 4 degrees of freedom. The camera can pan right and left, tilt up and down and move up, down, right and left.
So, today I shot my first real test with it. I have some improvements planned, but I was anxious to give it a real-world test. Here is a link to the video on PornHub. The one problem that is obvious is the camera passing in front of a light. That wasn’t something I expected, but it is easy to avoid, and a camera doesn’t block as much light as a human camera operator. 🙂
